M-43 Service Shoes

This is KARAKUBUY's USARMY service version M-43 'TYPE III'. It was made using thick cowhide leather as the backing, and the leather surface was evenly distributed with sandpaper for a leather lining, and solid paraffin was melted and infiltrated for a waterproof effect.
Just like the real thing, the cotton straps are coated with a specially formulated wax. Once tied, it was tight and difficult to untie, making it suitable for field use.
These are the shoes McQueen wore in the movie 'The Great Escape' starring Steve McQueen, and are a well-known item.
Just like the real thing, the leather surface is sanded with a leather lining and then processed to melt and soak in paraffin, so it is a characteristic of M-43 that it is partially stained or has a rougher look than regular suede shoes, so please understand before purchasing.
