Utagawa Kuniyoshi (歌川國芳, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, 1798-1861) was a Japanese ukiyo -e ( 浮世) painter of the late Edo period . He created his own unique painting style with flexible ideas and rich expressiveness.

Among Utagawa Kunihosaku's masterpieces, there is a painting called "The Old House in Soma."

"Soma's Old House" is a series of three works based on a hypothetical story from "Seonji Anbang Chungui Jeon (善知安方忠義傳)." The image above is a combined picture.

The woman depicted on the left side of the painting is Takiyashahime, the daughter of Hira Shomon, a high-ranking official of the Heian period.

She inherited her father's grudge and mastered sorcery at Mt. Tsukuba in Shimosa Province (Ibaraki Prefecture). She then set up a coffin in Soma, Haso, and plotted a rebellion against the imperial court.

The warrior holding the sword in the middle of the picture is Taro Otaki, and the person lying down is Heiramon, the younger brother of Takiyashahime.

Takiyashahime responded by magically summoning skeletons to fight Hikari.

Originally, in " The Tale of Zenji Anbango Chuyi Den " , Takiyashahime summoned countless skeletons, but Kuniyoshi modified them into one giant skeleton.
